Helen Sanderson Associates have posted a great video on Person Centred Reviews.
Advocates will recognise this way of working as it’s the way they go about their business: it really does put the person at the centre of things and ensures that they have the opportunity to get their voice heard.
There have been concerns that as a personalised approach to services is embedded into health and social care the push to do so has sometimes taken precedence over the needs of those who use services. This seems especially true for older people, some of whom find themselves on managed budgets without any idea that’s the case.
Wouldn’t it be great if the type of person centred review in this video was the norm throughout.
