Sad news reaches us of the death of Steve Evans

Many of us will have first come across Steve Evans when he appeared on BBC Breakfast a couple of times last year. Steve, from Wolverhampton, was suffering from stomach cancer and was very open about his condition and how it affected him, his family and his friends.  He talked frankly about why he decided it was time to get his affairs in order and he worked with organisation Dying Matters to promote the need for all of us to think about stating our wishes in advance of our ill health or death.

Dying Matters

Watching or listening to Steve was constantly uplifting. His sense of humour was a tonic and he had an innate ability to hit the nail on the head.  You can watch the film that Steve made for Dying Matters late last year.

I am so sad that he is now gone and my thoughts and sympathy are with his family and friends and all who cared for him.
